Q. Is the Audio Addiction Music Library a buyout library?

No! Our music is available for blanket or needledrop licenses. The library can be licensed to meet your specific requirements and level of use:

Blanket Licensing: Available on a yearly or multi-year basis. We can customize a package and license to suit your production needs.

Needledrop Licensing: Based on each separate use of any title and type of application. You pay only for the music and clearance you use.

Production Blanket: Rates applied for multiple needledrops used within any one production. Blanket production fees are based upon type of clearance and length of production.

Q. Do I have to order the entire library?

A: Audio Addiction’s licensing options include anything from individual tracks licenses and to annual blanket license for the complete library. Substantial discounts apply to an annual blanket license. Please contact us for details on available discounts:

Q. How do I license tracks from your library?

The easiest way is to contact us with a request for music. If your request is for a single track or small number of tracks, we will provide a free search and provide you with mp3s. If your request is for many tracks, we will arrange to send you a Firewire hard drive. Our Mac version comes with a great custom search program. All tracks are provided as 44.1k, 16 bit WAV files and high quality 192K mp3 files.

We ask that you report any broadcast usage on a quarterly basis (using a form we send you) so we can track performances through ASCAP, BMI and SESAC. We will even complete and file all cue sheets for television usage with ASCAP, BMI and SESAC if you so choose.

Q. Is your music performed with live instruments or synthesizers?

Nothing replaces the sound of real people playing real instruments in a real space. We especially stress live instrumentation where needed or appropriate, but many tracks use synths and hi quality sampled sounds. Some styles or genres of music, such as club, dance, and electronica, are predominately synth and sampled music oriented. We always strive to offer music tracks that combine modern music production technologies and sound palettes with the irreplaceable sound of live instruments.
